We hope you are looking forward to a wonderful, relaxing Spring Break!  We will miss our wee-ones!  Don't forget that next week is just a three day week for your children.  The teaching staff will be attending the National Teacher Convention downtown.  We are looking forward to coming back with many new ideas!

 

Look for The Haiti Walk information coming home with your child on Friday.

 

Also...the bake sale is next week.  Your children can buy a sweet treat for 25 cents, or they can buy some raffle tickets for a chance to win a yummy cake!

Religion – Next week we will celebrate Easter by relating experiences of joy and celebration.  The following week we will know that Christians have a responsibility to those in need and identify the many vocations that allow us to serve one another. 

English – We will be studying adjectives and adverbs.  We will also learn when to use "good" and when to use "well".

Reading-  We will continue to study cause and effect.  We will also be looking at timelines, base words and suffixes.

Spelling - Our list words will be words that have the /en/ sound at the end of words.

Math – We will share our surveys and results with the cooperating classrooms.  After Spring Break, we are moving on to Geometry.

Indiana History – We are continuing to learn about Indiana's history in the late 20th century and recognizing the importance of Hoosiers in Indiana.

Science – We are learning about the periodic table and contributions that scientists have made.
