Tuesday will be the last day for shorts.  As of October 1st, the dress code will no longer allow the wearing of shorts to school.  Please remember that our morning recess begins at 10:40 and it is still cool at that time, so jackets may be needed.

Wednesday, October 1st is a half day of school for students.  Lunch will be served at 11:00.  The dismissal times are 11:30 B-burg buses and St. Malachy buses, 11:40 Car Riders.  There is no extended day on Wednesday.

Picture Day is this Friday, October 3rd.  Envelopes with all of the information, came home on Friday.  Please make sure that the envelope comes back to school with your child on Friday.

We will begin reading for the Book It program this month.  Students are asked to read or be read, two books per week for a total of 8 books for the month.  (Phonics readers or reading stories from our reading book, do not count towards the 8 book goal.)  Students may then bring their Book It sheet back to school for a certificate for a free personal pan pizza from Pizza Hut.  I would prefer that all 8 books not be read in one evening as that defeats the purpose of a weekly reading goal.  Book It forms should come home today and be returned to school by October 31st.  Thank you!

October book orders will come home today.  Orders should be back to me by next Monday, October 6th.
