This week is Catholic School's Week. I hope you were able to see the student's work displayed after attending Mass. It was great to see so many of you roller skating on Saturday evening! We had a prayer service first thing this morning to begin our week. Tuesday, students may wear their motto shirts or Logo wear with uniform pants or jeans. We will make placemats that reflect the CSW theme for the school lunch on Thursday. Wednesday, we will have donuts and milk when we arrive at school and it will also be Favorite Team Spirit Day. Students may represent their favorite football, basketball, hockey, baseball, etc. with uniform pants or jeans. Thursday will be dress-up day and our retreat day. We will attend Mass. Friday will be the annual Green/White volleyball game beginning at 1:00 in Noll Hall. Your student will let you know what team they are playing on to determine if they will wear a green or white. It is a green/white casual day on Friday. whew! I think I included everything. Check your copy of the February newsletter to double check each day's activities!
Looking ahead...
We will exchange valentine's at our party on February 12th. We have 25 students.
The student Mardi Gras will be held at school on February 16th. We will spend the afternoon traveling to each classroom, to play games. This activity is used to "play" before we begin the Lenten season. As part of our almsgiving during Lent, we ask that each student send in a monetary donation to help fund our Haiti student program, by February 16th. Each classroom sponsors a child in Haiti for $125. I will also need a bag of "fun size" candy bars or small prizes to be used for the Duck Pond game that we will have in our classroom, from each student. These can be sent in by February 12th. Thank you for helping with this.
We will be planning Mass for next week, February 11th. Students will bring their new readings home on Friday, February 5th.
No school on February 8th.
Be sure to check homework watcher or the TV when weather is bad, as the school will no longer make phone calls to tell parents about delays or cancellations.
