There will be no school on May 12, our school cookout will be May 13, and Field Day will be May 14.
Beginning in May students may wear uniform shorts to school. Remember shorts are not to be worn to church.
This Monday, May 5, at 6:30 in the Holy Family Room there will be a Virtus Training program. Anyone planning to coach, volunteer, or work with students is required to have this training.
Weekly Agenda
Math: We will add and subtract on a number line, identify units of measurement for long distances, add positive and negative numbers, create a coordinate plane and place points on it, and round numbers to the nearest 1, 000. We will also take an assessment this week.
Phonics: We will complete our phonics program this week!!
Reading: This week we will read the selection, The Moon. The reading contract will be sent home on Tuesday of this week and is due on Thursday. Our skill this week is on how to classify and categorize. We will have a quiz over the selection this Friday.
Spelling: We are done for the year. We will use this time to work on our state reports
Social Studies: We will begin Unit 5: Past and Present.
Science: We will correct our science tests, and then we are done with science for the year!!
Handwriting: We will continue to learn uppercase cursive letters.
Religion: We will be learning about Mary and some of the Saints this week.
English: We will learn about contractions, possessive pronouns, and review correct punctuation.
Writing: We will complete our poem unit and continue with our state reports.
