I am collecting Pringles containers, the large ones. If you have them, please wipe out the inside and send to school along with the lid.  Thanks!

There will be an early dismissal on Wed., Oct. 1. We will have lunch at school before dismissal. St. Malachy and the Brownsburg buses will be dismissed at 11:30, day care students at 11:35 and car riders at 11:40.  Extended day is not available on Oct. 1.

Picture day is Friday, Oct. 3. Students may wear dress up clothes.  It is not a casual day.

There is a Box Tops contest starting today. It runs until Oct. 15. Please send in any you may have. Thanks!

Tuesday, Sept. 30 is the last day students may wear shorts.  Shorts may be worn again starting in May.

Reading: This week's reading selection is "Meet Rosina."  The reading book will come home on Monday and Thursday to have the selection read.

Spelling:  Today your child took a pretest over list 6.  It was sent home today, and attached to it is the list for your child for the week.  The final test will be on Friday.

Phonics: We will work with combinations or and wh.

Writing:  We are writing a personal introduction.

Handwriting:  We will work on lowercase and capital u & s, and work on numbers.

Math:  We will count dimes, nickels & pennies, write fractions using a fraction bar, be introduced to the adding 9 facts and write fraction sentences that equal one.

Science:  We will finish chapter one over plants and have a test on Thursday.

Religion:  We will look at free choice and the readiness to forgive.
